What are the responsibilities and job description for the Circulation Customer Service Associate position at The Villages?
Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for providing customer service and entering information concerned with delivery of newspapers and/or magazines to subscribers, carriers, and dealers. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.
Part Time, Onsite Position
Competitive salary based on experience: Starting at $14.50 an hour.
Schedule (Approx. 20-25 hours per week):
- Weekdays: 8:00am - 1:00pm or 12:00pm - 5:00pm
- To include weekends and holidays: 7:00am - 11:00am
Location: Spanish Springs
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service over the telephone and in person.
- Evaluate and address customer complaints and service requests in a timely manner.
- Enter requests for redelivery, delivery interruption, cancelations, and other services into the Circulation system.
- Follow up with customers to ensure redelivery/restarts and that other services were provided satisfactorily.
- Operate multi-line telephone system.
- Process telephone, in-person, and mail subscriptions.
- Operate a cash register efficiently and accurately.
- Process cash and/or credit card payments, and when necessary, forward receipts to customers.
- Review subscription date file and sends renewal letters to solicit expiring subscriptions.
- Address questions regarding the services The Villages Daily Sun offers.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and one (1) year of post high school education; or six (6) or more months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have departmental software computer knowledge (based on department employed by with a minimum of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Must have the ability to create or modify new and existing spread sheets.
