What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front of House Restaurant Supervisor position at The Villages?
Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for serving meals and beverages to patrons in the dining establishment as well as maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for the guests. In addition, this individual directs daily Front of the House (FOH) restaurant operations and assists the Floor Manager, while ensuring that the business is financially successful and that it represents our brand identity in its entirety. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.
Part Time, Onsite Position
Responsibilities:
- Proficient in all (FOH) positions and duties.
- Display a friendly attitude toward guests.
- Deliver courteous and accurate service to ensure a pleasant dining experience for all guests.
- Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge – knows the menu, menu prices, composition of food and beverage items, plating procedures, daily specials, and restaurant promotions.
- Learn and utilize the current POS system.
- Demonstrate food safety and responsible alcohol service.
- Maintain proper cash drawer/bank balances.
- Support inventory counts as needed.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and according to company guidelines.
- Deliver at a high performance, holding themselves accountable through effective coaching and strong follow-through skills.
- Understand and execute an action plan to achieve goals.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum of two plus (2 ) years of experience.
- Must obtain Food Handler’s Certification after hire.
- Must obtain a Responsible Alcohol Service Certification after hire.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and state regulations related to alcohol service and health code compliance.
- Competency in resource management and inventory control.
- Must have departmental software computer knowledge (based on department employed by with a minimum of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel).
