Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for reviewing and proofing documents, fact checking copy content and data for accuracy, checking for correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and word usage, confirms information, and details, and suggests edits. Proofing documents includes but is not limited to advertisements, brochures, and digital content. In addition, this role assists in the delivery and coordination of marketing print materials by implementing systems, procedures and processes that ensure deadlines are met in a timely and efficient manner. Hospitality is a must – being an enthusiastic, loyal “supporter” of the Marketing Department initiatives and is a vital member of the team. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities
- Proofread materials and advertisements to ensure accurate and timely information is dispensed for final publication.
- Liaison with material/publication owner(s) to resolve issues, corrections, edits, etc.
- Return mark-up proof(s) to material/document owner(s) who will incorporate all necessary changes and revisions.
- Assist internal customers with requests, questions, queries, etc.
- Review proofs to ensure accuracy of data, fact checking when necessary.
- Check consistently for correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, word usage, etc.
- File documents, develop, and follow filing and job numbering practices – this includes the usage of electronic in addition to paper records.
- Use office computers and a host of other software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and subsequent marketing and administrative management tools and equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
- Resolve administrative concerns by consistently assessing needs in advance and identifying solutions in a proactive manner.
- Attend special meetings, educational sessions and assist leadership with training team members as needed.
- Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related proofing and marketing tasks or attending special occasions as called upon.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or a related field preferred; or four (4) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Attention to detail is a must to include highly attuned project and time management skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft word and excel needed.
- Must be able to communicate orally confidently and effectively, in writing and electronically.
