What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Assistant position at The Villages?
Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for delivering superior customer service, education-based marketing and adhering to food safety protocols to the residents of The Villages. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.
Full Time, Onsite Position

Responsibilities:
- Handle sales responsibilities with a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Introduce promotions, cross-sell and encourage beneficial product add-ons.
- Provide feedback and communicate effectively with the management team.
- Showcase a kind and courteous disposition with every customer.
- Process newly received shipments.
- Place orders to The Villages Grown farm for The Villages Grown retail store.
- Train new employees in all aspects of retail sales responsibilities.
- Use a hand truck and/or a ladder.
- Process bank deposits and ensure adequate change.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) to five (5) years of experience.
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends.
- Basic math skills.
- English speaking and writing required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of office equipment, such as printers, copiers, and scanners.
- Time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Problem solving skills and detail oriented.
