What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Teacher position at The Villaggio?
We are a privately owned Early Childhood center near downtown Castle Rock. We are currently looking to hire a Lead Teacher for our Preschool classroom. You will be working with children ages 3-4 years old. We aim to procure long term employees that will become a vital part of our village and help maintain the close provider/family relationship we have worked so diligently to create. Our center hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Your main hours will be Monday-Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm.
Early Childhood Lead Teacher Required Skills and Experience
We are looking for individuals that possess the following characteristics:
- Patient, kind, and nurturing
- Trustworthy

- Strong communication skills- with co workers, administration, families at our center, as well as the children in our care
- Strong willingness to learn and continue professional development
- Thorough knowledge of state licensing standards for early childhood centers
- A long-term commitment to the field of early childhood education and our center as a whole. The well-being of the children in our care is our utmost responsibility and as such, we would only like to hire individuals who will develop close and lasting bonds with our children. We aim to provide a stable environment for our kiddos and want to hire team members that understand the importance of this.
- Experience with children age 0-5 in an educational setting
- Organized and detail oriented
- Possess a team mentality- will do what is best for the organization as a whole. It may be cleaning, it may be changing diapers, it may be taking out the trash, it may be changing batteries in a favorite toy. Whatever needs to be done to help the day-to-day operation. We are a team and we are all in this together!
- Works hard, but knows how to play too!
- Able to lift 30 pounds
- Able to work on feet for long periods of time and sustain an energy level that matches our children

Certifications Required
- Lead Teacher Qualified by State of Colorado Licensing Standards (or working towards it)
- First Aid/CPR Certified
- Completed Standard Precautions Training
- PDIS Pre-Service Trainings
