What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Coordinator position at The Villas Senior Care Community?
JOB SUMMARY This position will be responsible for scheduling all clinical staff, including determining appropriate staffing levels, working with scheduled and unscheduled absences, staff vacancies, and other staffing and timekeeping issues that may arise. This position may also be responsible for other nursing clerk duties such as ordering nursing supplies, inventory, organizing medical records, filing, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a nursing facility or a long‐term care setting preferred.
- Previous experience working with a timekeeping system, Microsoft Excel, or similar product preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Proficiency in use of a computer and the ability to quickly learn new software.
- Ability to use other means of communication, including laser printer, scanner, copy machine, fax machine, telephone, and cell phone.
- Ability to critically think and create a complete schedule for all nursing staff to ensure the facility is meeting its staffing ratios.
- Must be well‐organized and able to meet deadlines with accuracy.
- Ability to communicate well with others to fill in gaps on the schedule by contacting current staff to pick up shifts and notifying DON or charge nurse of any schedule irregularities.
