The wastewater/tanker operator is responsible for maintaining and operating the wastewater system while also ensuring all in bound bulk material is sampled and unloaded into the correct tanks.

EDUCATION:
Required: High school diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year experience in an industrial environment
Preferred: 2 years in a chemical production environment

CORE COMPETENCIES (Essential Job Functions)
- Wear mandatory PPE at all times.
- Use forklift to retrieve and stage chemicals used for wastewater treatment.
- Understand how to hook up and use a diaphragm pump.
- Pull and prep samples for testing Zinc.
- Have knowledge of the perimeters set for the wastewater system and understand how to trouble shoot and adjust to meet those perimeters and to keep the system operating.
- Be able to operate the wastewater system in automatic and manual.
- Keep the pit tanks and drains clean of debris and trash.
- Complete truck unloading log and manufacturing log documentation in compliance with company requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure that all drivers sign in and follow all safety requirements.
- Ensure that every tanker is sampled and unloaded into the correct tank.
- Verify that there is adequate room in the bulk tanks before unloading tankers.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and dry work area at all times.
- Complete other duties and special projects upon request.
