Job Description
The Area Chemical Sales Manager will contact prospective customers to sell water treatment services for water in boilers, cooling towers, and waste water systems. The role involves scheduling appointments to explain products and services available, inspecting customer water system equipment, and preparing service estimates. Obtaining water samples for field analysis or sending them to the home office for further analysis when needed is also part of the job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments with customers to promote and sell water chemical products.
- Explain the merits of treatment programs to educate customers on the benefits of purchasing them.
- Attempt to resolve problems encountered with customers' water-treatment processes.
- Perform follow-up tests on water in customer water systems using a test kit, knowledge of chemical treatment, and a reference manual.
- Observe changes in customers' water analyses and recommend the amount and type of chemical additives necessary for water treatment.
Position Qualifications:
Required: 2-3 years of experience in water treatment required.
Preferred: 3-5 years of experience preferred, working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel highly preferred.
