MISSIONS

Position Profile

Through consistent application of Oetker Collection's core guidelines and effective hands-on management, leadership, and direction, ensure the highest quality standards of restaurant operation, maximizing the balance between Hoteliers, Guest, and Owner satisfaction.

The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the overall management and success of our restaurant, overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, from service excellence and hoteliers management to financial performance and strategic planning, to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Lead, motivate, and manage all restaurant hoteliers to ensure a high-performing, cohesive team, fostering a positive and professional work environment that encourages growth, teamwork, and exceptional guest service.

Create and maintain a welcoming, refined atmosphere for guests, consistently exceeding expectations for service and ambiance. Regularly interact with guests (especially VIP guests), ensuring a bespoke and memorable experience.

Participate in recruitment, manage team members and effectively coach, train, motivate, communicate, recognize, schedule, provide performance feedback, maintain high levels of team spirit, and conduct performance correction if required.

Ensure compliance to all hotel policies, standards, and core practices.

Lead the day-to-day private dining operation through hands-on personal involvement, oversee department budgets, provide input, and implement strategies to effectively manage productivity, labour, beverage, and food costs to maximize departmental GOP.

Oversee restaurant reservations, managing high-demand periods, and ensuring optimal seating arrangements.

Maintain expert knowledge of wines and other beverages and up-to-date knowledge of food trends and industry practices.

Assist the General Manager of Restaurants and Bars with monitoring financial performance, including sales, labor costs, and food & beverage costs, and work to maximize profitability without compromising quality or service.

Collaborate with the marketing and PR teams to develop and execute strategies that promote the restaurant’s brand, drive business, and attract new guests.

Maintain appropriate par levels and adequate controls over labour costs, requisitions, purchase orders, receipt of goods and inventory.

Support the planning and execution of special events, private dining experiences, and seasonal promotions to increase revenue and enhance guest experiences.

Conduct regular safety training for hoteliers, ensuring that all team members are aware of and follow proper safety protocols. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment for both guests and hoteliers, adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, labor laws, and liquor licenses.

Detail oriented – Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize workload, multi-task in a calm manner, with exceptional attention to detail.

Financial competence –Demonstrates knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, productivity analysis and labour costing, inventory management/controls techniques.

Communication – Excellent communication skills, 100% fluency in English with added ability to be an effective role model in standards of conduct and grooming.

Innovation, creativity, decision making and problem solving – Proven innovator, responds promptly and reasonably when making decisions ensuring problem resolution.

Education & Experience

Minimum 5 years' work experience in a similar capacity with an understanding of luxury hotel standards of service.

Degree or diploma in Food and Beverage/Hospitality Management preferred or equivalent experience.

Fluent in English; other languages considered an asset.

Must be in possession of a valid work permit for the USA.
