Job Description:
As the Front of House (FOH) Restaurant Manager at Hickory, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dining room operations, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction. With at least 5 years of management experience in the restaurant industry, you will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the FOH team, including servers, hosts, bartenders, and support staff, to ensure smooth and efficient operations during service hours.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for FOH operations, including service standards, guest relations, and staff training, to uphold the highest levels of hospitality and professionalism.
- Train, coach, and mentor FOH staff, providing ongoing feedback and guidance to enhance their skills and performance and promote a positive work culture.
- Monitor and manage the dining room layout and seating arrangements, optimizing table turnover and guest flow to maximize revenue and minimize wait times.
- Oversee reservation management, including monitoring reservation systems, coordinating seating assignments, and accommodating special requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, resolving issues and ensuring a positive dining experience for every guest.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and coordinated service, communicating effectively to ensure accurate order execution and quality control.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and portion control, conducting regular inspections and tastings to uphold Hickory's standards of excellence.
- Manage inventory and supplies for FOH operations, including ordering, receiving, and storage, to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
- Handle scheduling, payroll, and labor cost management for FOH staff, optimizing staffing levels to meet business demands while controlling expenses.
- Uphold the Nicewonder Inn's standards of hospitality and service excellence, exceeding guest expectations with every interaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in the restaurant industry, with a proven track record of success in leading and developing teams.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and empower staff to achieve excellence.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on efficiency and attention to detail.
- Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations, including service standards, food and beverage menus, and guest relations.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
