Job Overview
Marigold Café is hiring for a Team Lead that is responsible for assisting the manager in maintaining a positive environment, which provides fast, efficient, and friendly service ensuring The Virginian Hotel’s 4 - diamond standards are met daily. The shift supervisor assists in training, customer service, product knowledge and education, encouraging safe work practices, and a demonstrated commitment to hospitality to our guests and team members. This position directly supervises the barista position. This would include preparing and serving hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea, as well as breakfast and lunch offerings. We are a proud to serve Starbucks™ establishment. The barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders.

· Open from 6:30 AM until 4PM
Responsibilities
· Greet customers as they enter, customer service skills
· Supervise and monitor the daily functions of the café and team members
· Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
· Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
· Prepare beverages following recipes
· Serve beverages and prepared food
· Receive and process payments (cash, credit cards, room charges)
· Keep the bar, dining room, restroom and entrance areas clean at all times
· Maintain stock of all products
· Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
· Comply with health and safety regulations
· Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
Qualifications & Requirements
· Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress
· Minimum 1 year FOH supervisor or management experience leading a team
· Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
· Knowledge of sanitation regulations
· Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed
· Excellent communication skills and strong POS skills
· High school diploma; relevant training is a plus
· At least 1 year experience FOH service experience
· Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
· Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
