The Virginian is recruiting for a Bartender (Part Time) to be a part of the Food and Beverage department. The Virginian has completed the final process of building our new dining options for our residents and are in need of experienced and highly organized bartender. This role will serve a diverse community of residents from all walks of life in an exceptional hospitable and service oriented environment. The successful bartender will be able to effectively communicate, organize bar supplies in a cost-saving and efficient manner, and work closely with Food and Beverage leadership to enhance the overall dining experience for our residents. In this role you must have a passion for Seniors! The right candidate(s) must be dedicated, adaptable, and have a background in the customer service or hospitality industry. This position does have a flexible schedule as this position has the ability to grow into a leadership role or into another area of responsibility in the Food and Beverage department. The selected candidate(s) will be a part of the five-star experience we provide at our community and will strive to provide an exceptional experience for our residents, families, and guests. The list below is a general summary of the duties and responsibilities of this position. This list is not all inclusive and other duties may be added to the position at the discretion of the Director of Food and Beverage, Executive Director, and other Virginian leadership.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and serve alcohol or non-alcohol beverages to patrons
- Open and close the bar at the scheduled times
- Recommend menu items and provide feedback to Executive Chef and or Food and Beverage Director from patrons
- Serve as the initial contact and hospitality ambassador to assigned bar area
- Order and efficiently monitor Bar supplies and resources
- Collaborate with other departments as needed for Community Events and or Activity functions
- Assist in designing drink menus and pairing food items

Compensation :
20-$24 an hour with great benefits
Schedule : Monday-Friday with Weekend Coverage scheduled in advance
