The Virginian is actively searching for experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for our Health Care Center (HCC) department. The ideal candidate must be a good communicator, high organizational skills, knowledgeable of Microsoft Office / Point Click Care, and exceptional time management skills. This role will primarily be serving on any of our three skilled healthcare units.
Qualifications : Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Experience / knowledge in LTC / Skilled / MC / AL; current clinical knowledge and experience with the senior population. Ability to collaborate and motivate other healthcare providers; strong / effective problem-solving skills. Display enthusiasm, leadership ability and tact. Strong computer skills, proficient with Electronic Health Record.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of an LPN :
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), family / social activities and actively promote independent lifestyle of residents.
- Responsible for identification of resident medical and behavioral changes and the development and monitoring of care plans and reassessment of each resident.
- Provide daily report to the Director of Health Services concerning community conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and needs for nursing supplies.
- Provide nursing care according to physician's orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies.
- Ensure preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services to residents and assist in the coordination of nursing care with care rendered by other disciplines.

Hourly compensation : $32.00 to $38.00 with great benefits!
