The Virginian is seeking an experience Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Assisted Living neighborhood. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing the care provided to our residents in accordance with professional standards of practice. Supervising experience is a must. The ideal candidate must be a good communicator, high organizational skills, knowledgeable of Microsoft Office / Point Click Care, and exceptional time management skills.
Qualifications : Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Experience / knowledge in LTC / AL / MC; current clinical knowledge and experience with the senior population. Ability to collaborate and motivate other healthcare providers; strong / effective problem-solving skills. Display enthusiasm, leadership ability and tact. Strong computer skills, proficient with Electronic Health Record.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of an LPN :
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), family / social activities and actively promote independent lifestyle of residents while dealing with Dementia.
- Responsible for identification of resident medical and behavioral changes and the development and monitoring of care plans and reassessment of each resident.
- Provide daily report to the Director of Memory Care concerning community conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and needs for nursing supplies.
- Provide nursing care according to physician's orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies.
- Ensure preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services to residents and assist in the coordination of nursing care with care rendered by other disciplines.

Compensation :
Hourly compensation : $28.00 to $35.00 an hour based on experience and education with great benefits!
Schedule :
This role will start off on the Weekend Shift- Morning / Day Shift (Two Saturdays a month) on a Part-Time basis. There is flexibility for the schedule to grow!
