Easterseals Summer Camp Counselor
Be a Camp Counselor for campers with disabilities! No experience necessary, we will train and coach you in everything you need to know.

Position Overview:
- Provide a safe, high quality, fun, and stimulating recreational experience for their campers.
- Be responsible for the general safety and development, growth, and skill achievement of each camper they serve.
- Adapt each camp activity to fit the needs and ability of each camper.
- Provide personal care to campers (dressing, bathing, changing, lifting, transferring)
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with campers, families, and staff.
- Model and mentor respectful interactions and healthy boundaries with campers.
- Work as a team, offering help to others and asking for help when you need it.
- Be active, standing, walking, and playing for many hours per day.
- Engage in outside activities including fishing, canoeing, archery, walks/hikes, and more!
Location:
- Varies per week, but most sessions are held at sites in or near: Lincoln, Omaha, Ashland, & Gretna.
Commitment:
- Flexible! Many of our staff take summer classes, go on family trips, or even have second jobs that we work around.
- For 2025, we plan to have about 3 weeks of overnight camp and 4 weeks of day camp.
- Our sessions are generally M – Th with one week that is M – F.
