Description
This position will strategically manage, lead and develop Vollrath Field Sales Managers and Rep Groups. Position requires continuous proactive engagement and development with the team to drive Vollrath’s competitive position and market share growth.
Responsibilities
- To ensure team selling approach to all customers utilizing Field Sales, Management, Product Managers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Customer Service.
- Confidence in multilevel communication with companies’ Key channel and operator customers; including sales management leaders and teams. Also, engagement with Executive Management, Purchasing, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Administration and Research & Development.
- Collaboration with internal Vollrath stakeholders at all levels. Work In conjunction with Vollrath Field Sales Management to support and create directives and drive results with all Vollrath customers.
- Weekly collaboration with Sales Leadership to develop and update annual sales plan and accompanying strategies.
- Responsible for reporting weekly with Field Sales Management team on progress against company’s strategic imperatives.
- Work with internal sales operations team to establish and maintain all administration-related contracts and pricing to keep information current.
- Maintain and manage daily database of the assigned customers in CRM
- Work with Product Managers regarding custom product opportunities and new product concepts.
- Participate in trade shows, selling conferences, and buying group conferences where and when applicable.
- Virtual and in person training utilizing all current office tools and technology.
- Other duties as assigned by Sales Leadership.
Qualifications
- Must be willing to travel extensively to cover key and targeted channel and operator customers.
- An innate balance of strong leadership skills, initiative and collaboration is a must.
- Minimum of five years’ sales team management experience. High-level engagement in foodservice distribution. Experience and understanding of contract negotiations, sales operations, and supply chain operations.
- Extensive past and existing relationships with key purchasing and operations personnel in these accounts.
- Experience in foodservice industry selling equipment and supplies.
- Engagement with US-based foodservice manufacturing company
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- MBA Preferred
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
- Excellent time management and organization skills are a pre-requisite.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Advanced technology skills in several business solutions: Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
