We are looking for a reliable Custom Cabinet Maker I at our facility in Newport, MN. Here, you will join a dynamic team focused on crafting high-quality, custom cabinetry for a range of residential and commercial clients. You will gain hands-on experience in the cabinet-making process, learning from seasoned professionals while contributing to the creation of beautiful, functional cabinetry. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about woodworking, eager to learn, and interested in starting a career in the manufacturing and design of custom cabinets.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Cabinet Building
- Assist in selecting and preparing materials such as wood, plywood, and veneers according to project specifications
- Measure and cut materials accurately using saws, routers, and other woodworking tools
- Follow detailed drawings and blueprints to assemble cabinet components
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble cabinet parts, including joining, gluing, and nailing pieces together
Quality
- Inspect finished cabinets for defects and ensure they meet company standards and client specifications
- Make adjustments as necessary to ensure precision and quality
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety
Collaboration and Development
- Work closely with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of project
- Communicate effectively to address any issues or discrepancies encountered during the production process
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in cabinet making
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices
Other
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to be cross trained in more than one area

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical Degree in related field preferred
- Experience with woodworking tools
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
Sand, stain, and paint cabinets as required, ensuring a high-quality finish
Compensation & Benefits
The starting salary range for this position is $24 - $29 per hour or $49,920 - $60,320 per year. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
