Location: Vollrath Company, Kiel Wisconsin
Shift: 1st Shift (Hours: Start- 5a to 6am, End- 2:30p to 3:30p)
Pay: $40.00/hr
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
DESCRIPTION: Perform a wide variety of complex plant and machine maintenance including but not limited to complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting and major system repair.
Required to perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on CNC equipment and controls, lift trucks, power hand tools, machine tools, grinders, heating, air conditioning, and pressurized air systems, etc., lubricating, replacing or repairing bearings, belts, gears, machine parts, gauges, motors, electrical components, etc.
Make complex electrical connections and/or install new or rearranged equipment.
Design, install, and repair electrical power distribution equipment from single phase to 3 phase industrial grids.
Initiate corrective action to resolve complex problems and report major malfunctions and continuing difficulties to supervisor.
Required to read complex blueprints and schematics.
Perform basic mig, shielded metal arc welding, air arc gouging and work independently with a minimum of direct supervision.
Recommend and requisition major repair items and ordinary replacement parts.
Diagnose PLC installations and troubleshoot.
PLC programming and diagnostic relay logic installation and troubleshooting.
Required to work overtime on short notice including weekends as well as other non-standard hours.
Direct activities of temporary assigned help.
Assist and advise others as required.
Perform own material handling
Follow good housekeeping procedure and safety practices.
Perform other indoor/outdoor activities as required.
Provide own basic tools to efficiently perform job.
QUALIFICATIONS: State certified Journeyman electrician, millwright or maintenance mechanic.
5 or more years ‘experience in an industrial setting.
Experience in PLC programming and installation.
Knowledge and experience with amplifiers, components, power supplies, test equipment tools, computer-digital concepts, PLC’s, cabling, motors, block diagram schematics, advanced hydraulic schematics
Advanced knowledge & troubleshooting skills in power presses and metal working equipment.
Strong Mathematical skills.
Experience in developing and managing a preventative maintenance program.
Ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.
Display and exercise strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills.
Willingness to accept change, new challenges and assignments.
Ability to work in a team environment.
