We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team in the Heavy Civil
Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage complex construction projects from conception to completion. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management Support: Assist in the planning, execution, and closeout of heavy civil
construction projects, including but not limited to roads, bridges, tunnels, water treatment
facilities, and other infrastructure developments.
• Design and Engineering Coordination: Collaborate with the design team to ensure all
engineering plans are implemented correctly, identifying potential issues early on and
providing solutions.
• Cost and Budget Control: Monitor and manage project costs, including material and labor
expenses, while ensuring that the project stays within budget constraints.
• Procurement and Material Management: Oversee procurement of materials and equipment,
ensuring they are delivered on time and meet project specifications.
• Quality Control and Safety: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards on the
job site, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between field personnel, subcontractors, clients, and project
stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing concerns as needed.
• Scheduling and Coordination: Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring
that timelines are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
• Document Control and Reporting: Maintain project documentation, including plans,
specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Prepare regular progress reports for
management and clients.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical or logistical issues that may arise during
construction, ensuring minimal impact on project progress.
• Compliance: Ensure that the project complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety
standards. Help with permitting processes as required.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience: At least 1-5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with hands-on
experience in project management or engineering.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend),
MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), and engineering design tools.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of heavy civil construction methods, safety protocols,
budgeting, and scheduling.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly
convey technical information to a variety of stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex construction problems and propose effective
solutions
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
