The Wag Shack, a playcare and boarding facility in Argyle, is looking for exceptional pack leaders to join the fun! Pack leaders are the main contact for the pups in our yards. As a pack leader, some of your responsibilities would include:
- Engaging pups in play
- Monitoring dog body language & energy levels to maintain peaceful packs
- Clear, honest communication of issues or questions with your packmates & leaders
- Taking TONS of pictures and videos for parents!
- Yard maintenance (poop pickup & spray-down)
- Kennel and facility maintenance (sanitizing suites, floors, walls, etc)
- Dishes, laundry, meal-prep
Must have basic knowledge of animal care practices and procedures. Previous experience working in a playcare, kennel, veterinary, or rescue setting is highly preferred but not required. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time is required.
Our working hours are 6a-8p 365 days a year with shifts typically 4 hours or 7 hours. We have IMMEDIATE part-time positions to fill for PM and weekends. Priority consideration given to applicants with open availability and prior experience. Pay starts at $13/hr, more DOE.
