Job Title: Dog Camp Team Member
Job Overview:
As camp staff, you will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for dogs in our daycare facility. Your primary duties will include supervising playgroups,walks,solo play, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the overall well-being of the dogs in our care. A passion for animals and a commitment to their welfare are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Care:
Monitor the behavior and interactions of dogs in playgroups to ensure safety and positive socialization.
Provide individual attention to dogs, including feeding, administering medications, and engaging in playtime.
Provide solo walks & play for a camp
& Training dogs
Assist trainers as needed
Facility Maintenance:
Clean and sanitize play areas, kennels, and equipment to maintain a hygienic environment.
Ensure that all areas are safe and free from hazards.
Customer Interaction:
Provide excellent customer service and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
Taxi dogs If needed with own vehicle. A crate for transport would be provided.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of dog behavior, health, and any incidents that occur during daycare.
Update and manage dog profiles and schedules.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a positive experience for both dogs and owners.
Participate in training and development sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; experience in animal care or daycare preferred.
Willingness to learn the understanding of dog behavior and body language.
Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, and cleaning.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced environment with exposure to various breeds and temperaments of dogs.
Ability to work flexible hours at least 4 week days
Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
