The Waldinger Corporation is seeking a Chief Information Officer to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives in alignment with the Company’s operating plans. Reporting to the CEO, this is a unique opportunity to lead aid in the evolution of the IT organization, next generation systems, software, products, and capabilities, that will make a significant impact on this dynamic company. This position and the IT environment is quite complex with legacy systems, ongoing projects and governance processes that need to be evolved and optimized as the platform expands.
This position is located at our Corporate office location in Des Moines, IA.
The CIO is directly responsible for implementing the most up-to-date and proven technology solutions to further the growth and success of the Company. Using innovation and creativity to leverage cutting-edge technology to ensure exceptional customer experience, while maintaining a clear vision of where the Company will be in the next five years and what technologies will be required to reach that future state is key to the role. Additionally, the CIO will work in concert with the Senior Management team and overall technology team in support of business operations to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, innovation, and enhancement.
Some high-level responsibilities include :
- Strategic Planning & Leadership : Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy and roadmap that aligns with the company’s growth objectives.
- Infrastructure & IT Operations : Oversee the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, and data management to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
- Digital Transformation : Lead initiatives to modernize tools, processes, and systems that enhance project delivery and client engagement within the commercial construction sector.
- Cybersecurity : Develop and implement robust cybersecurity policies and protocols to protect company data and infrastructure.
- Team Development : Build and lead a high-performing IT team, providing mentorship and training to develop skillsets that align with industry advancements.
- Vendor Management : Manage relationships with IT vendors, ensuring quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness of solutions.
- Data Analytics & Reporting : Champion data-driven decision-making by implementing analytics tools to provide insights for operational improvement and strategic planning.
- Project Management and Governance : Understand the project delivery lifecycle.
