Key Responsibilities :
- Safely transport clients to and from the rehab facility, medical appointments, court appearances, and other approved locations.
- Ensure the timely and efficient transport of clients while adhering to all traffic laws and facility policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and incident reports as required.
- Provide compassionate and professional interactions with clients while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Assist clients in and out of the vehicle when necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding transportation schedules and any client concerns.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies or unexpected situations while transporting clients.
- Valid and active driver’s license
- Clean driving record (no DUIs, reckless driving, or major violations).
- Previous experience as a transport driver, chauffeur, or in a similar role preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact respectfully with clients in recovery.
- Understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Capability to assist clients with mobility challenges.
- Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, if needed.
