The Role:
As a kindergarten lead teacher, you will be at the forefront of early childhood education, creating a safe, happy, and engaging learning environment for young students. Working alongside a teaching assistant and a team of dedicated educators, you will be responsible for planning, instructing, and assessing all students in your class while fostering strong relationships with families and the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement creative, hands-on learning experiences that encourage exploration and critical thinking.
* Foster social-emotional growth while supporting differentiated instruction for students.
* Collaborate with grade-level teams and specialists to create a comprehensive learning environment.
* Utilize assessments and documentation to track student progress and tailor instruction.
* Communicate effectively and positively with parents, colleagues, and administrators through conferences, reports, and meetings.
* Maintain an engaging, organized, and welcoming learning space for young learners.
* Integrate technology to enhance teaching and student engagement.
* Participate in professional development opportunities and school events.

Qualifications:

* Experience with Orton-Gillingham, Handwriting Without Tears, Singapore Math, or other multisensory teaching methods.
* Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education.
* Ability to meet the physical demands of working with young children (e.g., kneeling, sitting on the floor, lifting materials up to 20 lbs).
