Overview
Archer Western Construction-Snell JV, a member of The Walsh Group is currently seeking an Instrument Person for the Atlanta Region, GDOT I-285 / I-285 East Interchange Project in Decatur GA.
The Instrument Person's primary function to operate surveying instruments and mark reference points for grades; may oversee Rodman.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Sets up, adjusts, and operates surveying equipment
- May assist Surveyor in establishing elevation points and other field layout
- Works with plans to establish points and grades for construction
- May perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
- 3 years of construction experience Preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
- Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
- Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
