The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating compelling, informative, and shareable content that will achieve the greatest reach with our internal and external audiences. This includes conceptualizing, developing and driving creative design solutions for Disney Experiences as they align with the Communication and Public Affairs division and the Disney brand.
Experience in graphic design and acute attention to designing in a mobile-enabled environment are required for this role. An emphasis on creative innovation for the production of various digital and print designs in numerous mediums and disciplines must be applied to a wide range of communication vehicles.

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $77,100.00 to $103,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

What You Will Do
- Work with senior-level designers to create digital and print assets.
- Translate design direction/feedback from team members to assigned projects.
- Maintain the highest visual standards for the Creative Services team and Disney brand in all assigned projects. Keeping current company priorities, campaigns, and initiatives top of mind.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including photography, social video, designers, and developers, to translate project requirements into engaging designs.
- Support departmental goals with sophisticated designs that compel action and help drive positive business outcomes.
- Concepting, designing and occasionally animating custom social and digital media graphics that generate buzz for PR efforts, reinforces key reputation drivers and assist with talent acquisition.
- Illustrate and/or produce custom designs for infographics, digital wallpapers, websites, apps merchandise and other collateral that are key to achieving communications objectives.
- Design custom presentations for senior and C-suite executives.
- Craft and conserve a visual identity for employer brand efforts that support talent recruitment and retainment.
- Accurately save and document work according to the prescribed project management system.
- Keep current on the various communication audiences to better understand their preferences and how to create collateral that will best communicate to them.
- Stay up to date on the latest industry standards and trends for programs such as: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe After Effects and Keynote
- One year experience in the graphic design field.
- Proven mastery of Macs and the Adobe Creative Suite of products.
- Expertise in design methodology, design thinking, and design research.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a group (i.e. across multiple lines of business).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Requires a natural curiosity for the Disney Brand.
- Ability to adapt to different work styles.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work within a deadline-oriented environment.
- General knowledge of technology within the design field.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. Travel may be required.
- Ability to design visually engaging graphics for social media and mobile/digital consumption with a purpose of inspiring action.
- Proven sensibilities in branding and style guide development for the best selection of art elements, font treatments, color and tonality.
- Broad understanding of the role of design in society, culture, and business.
- Demonstrated presentation/keynote, logo development, illustration and photography skills.
- Service-oriented with an ability to partner in a highly matrixed organization.
