About The Role & Program
Platform Distribution plays a critical role in maximizing reach and monetization for all of The Walt Disney Company’s lines of business across entertainment and sports. The Business Strategy team supports deal execution, helps develop strategic initiatives, advises key stakeholders, and drives executive communication to advance the Direct-to-Consumer, Media Networks, and Digital Transactional businesses.
Business Strategy is seeking a summer intern to play a supporting role in projects that help shape Disney Platform Distribution’s long-term strategy for the ABC network. This internship opportunity involves providing support to our ABC Affiliate relations teams. Planned projects include evaluating new opportunities, analyzing marketplace and competitive trends, and developing strategic models and business cases in support of broadcast distribution. This internship will result in a baseline knowledge of the media distribution landscape and the Network/Affiliate business model as well as an immersion into the corporate culture and strategic approach of the Walt Disney Company.
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through August 2025.

What You Will Do
- Support with data gathering for executive materials, partner briefs, and financial modeling
- In consultation with team, design and build industry benchmarks and competitive landscape report
- Update Business Strategy team resource materials including trackers and economic summaries
- Complete industry updates and summaries to be distributed to department leadership
- Exposure to negotiation strategy for ABC broadcast distribution
- End-to-end ownership and presentation of deep dive project aimed at evaluating new strategic partnership opportunities based on marketplace trends & competitive analysis
- Participation in industry & functional training sessions and networking with cross-functional departments across The Walt Disney Company
- Experience in and/or interest in the media & entertainment industry
- High attention to detail and experience multitasking and prioritizing project workflow in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams
- Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
- Previous experience (academic or internship) in entertainment business, economics, investment banking, consulting, or strategy at a media or technology company or related field
- Experience in and/or interest in media landscape & distribution
- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Major or previous coursework in Business, Economics, or related field
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through August 2025
- Fully available to work 40 hours per week during a Monday through Friday schedule
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, California area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
