The Disney Entertainment segment includes the company’s full portfolio of entertainment media and content businesses globally, including streaming.
The Digital Center of Excellence Production Team is responsible for ideating, developing, and executing digital, social content and creative assets for the Studio brands and titles to support the wider Disney Entertainment Digital Marketing Team. Consisting of a unit of designers, editors, producers, with full-service development-to-distribution capabilities, the team serves as a one-stop internal creative agency to address the marketing needs of a rapidly evolving consumer base.
Responsibilities
The Producer role is responsible for leading all aspects of the production of video content created by The Digital Center of Excellence Production team. The ideal candidate will be expert in all aspects of video production, from pre-production through physical production and post-production. They will assume primary responsibility for the execution of a wide range of styles of video production, including : EPK and junket style interviews, red carpet, convention, and live event video coverage, sponsored content, on-location social content capture, livestreams and remote interviews, animated short-form trailers and explainers, and long-form compilation edits.
This producer will work alongside a team of fellow producers, editors, graphic and motion designers, as well as production management support staff, and will be required to lead a variety of concurrent productions to successful completion, articulating a clear vision for supporting team members to follow. In addition to delivering clear direction and guidance to team members, the producer will also be required to skillfully execute on a wide variety of production duties and techniques themselves, including talent directing, shooting, lighting, mic’ing, editing, and basic motion graphics work. The producer must also have experience in livestreaming and control room environments, including a deep understanding of the technical aspects of streaming as well as the key elements and structure of various live content formats.
In addition to achieving excellence in all aspects of video production, the producer must thrive in a fast-paced, extremely detail-oriented environment, where they will be managing multiple long- and short-term projects concurrently. Possessing a demonstrated mastery of organization, the Producer must ensure adherence to the strict branding guidelines of the Disney Entertainment Studios brands and franchises. This role requires a collaborative, creative problem solver that is passionate about creating innovative ways to speak to our audiences. They must be comfortable leading small teams, as they will work closely with their team members to implement and follow production schedules, ensuring deadlines are being met and high standards are being maintained. Organizational and collaborative skills as well as an ability to prioritize are a must. The ideal candidate will have a thoughtful mindset that can reflect on past work for future optimization. This is a full-time role.
Additional responsibilities include :
- Concept development based on a deep understanding of established production best practices as well as current trends
- Pitching of concepts to both internal and external clients, building consensus around the vision for a production
- Expert ability to identify key production challenges and necessities during pre-production and ability to collaborate with cross-department stakeholders to resolve them
- Accurately identifying potential legal and clearance concerns during pre-production and following through to resolve any issues ahead of production
- Thorough understanding of Airtable to maintain the base for The Digital Center of Excellence Production Team
- Build and communicate comprehensive gear list, lighting scheme, and filming plan
- Expert knowledge of a variety of lighting techniques, framing and camera movement
- Proven ability to lead a production team inclusive of staff and freelance / vendor crew, executing a shot list while staying within the bounds of a pre-set production schedule
- Experience and confidence as a director of talent ranging from corporate executive leadership to film and television creative talent
- Ensuring the accuracy and success of media ingest, transcoding, and footage delivery to internal and external stakeholders
- Sourcing, reviewing, and managing the organization of digital assets required for post-production
- Leading meetings by building consensus around the execution of your strong vision for the production & post-production execution of the video
- Delivering comprehensive notes to editors, motion and graphic designers to ensure post-production is developing in alignment with the vision for the end result
- Maintaining clarity around the specific requirements for the often multiple deliverables for a single video, reflecting executions in different aspect ratios for different platforms
- Routing proposed final deliverables for notes from leadership, internal stakeholders, and internal clearance and legal teams, consolidating feedback and ensuring adherence to creative and legal feedback
- Delivering completed videos to stakeholders, signing off on all finished renders as being void of any quality control concerns
- Collaborate and follow the direction and notes from brand, title, and studio leads for creative changes
- Organize workload, manage priorities, meet deadlines and work well within a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Quality check videos and deliverables to ensure all assets meet our high standards, appropriate specs and are ready for upload and archive.
- Participate in team meetings and processes to provide feedback to improve and inform the go-forward strategies and tactics
- Track the review process for all post-production projects, flagging issues to their lead, guaranteeing notes are properly implemented, and expectations are managed with the client / partner.
- Oversee and track inventory of production equipment

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $103,500 - $138,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and / or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
