The Publicity intern will be an integral part of the Searchlight team throughout a film’s promotions and release providing on the ground support at a multitude of events including special screenings, premieres, junkets and festivals as needed. We are a small team, so you will be especially helpful in handling special projects and administrative duties (coordinating PR files, and meeting prep). The hands-on role will offers exposure to the film industry and awards campaign from a unique perspective in our Burbank office. What You Will Do
Undergraduate students in their senior year or recently graduated within the past six months pursuing a bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, creative advertising or related field.

What You Will Do
- Collect and distribute daily press breaks across all media (newspaper/magazine/digital)
- Manage department charts and documents
- Assist publicists with research projects
- Set up zoom meetings and facilitating recordings, delivery of publicity materials, coordinating PR files
- Prep materials and participating in weekly meetings
- Work at screenings, premieres, junkets and press days
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, Google Workspace (Docs/Slides/Sheets), Photoshop.
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Can work independently and be proactive.
- Desire to gain PR experience to further their career.
- Knowledge and interest in Searchlight Pictures is a plus!
- Prior internship experience in film, publicity, marketing, or other related fields preferred.
- Relevant coursework in PR and/or communications.

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
- The approximate dates of this internship are August 2024 through December 2024
- Able to be fully available for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
