Our job also ensures all the systems fully functions and the coordination of the logic across players and back-end services through quality metrics and observabilityJob Summary : As a member of our team, you will strive to accomplish the following goals : Contributing to the successful implementation of solutions for complex technical problems with DE&E Technology engineering teamsOwning the development and maintenance of two or more functional areas of core test automation, execution environments, build systems and tooling used across multiple productsContributing the successful design & implementation of one or more project featuresProviding strategic input on future initiatives with stakeholders and other engineersContributing to and collecting data to inform Key Performance Indicators used for defining project statuses and effectivenessCheck-in valuable, clean code daily that adds new features and capabilitiesBecoming a member of our Quality Engineering team, increasing quality through innovation, automated test creation, curiosity and thoughtful debate.Responsibilities and Duties of the Role : Builds solutions that scale and perform. Identifies opportunities to improve the system / product / services with each iteration.Typically owns software programs and multiple components within the team.Developing and supporting test automation frameworks, execution environments, build systems, and reporting toolsDrives development of component through own and more junior engineers' workWork with product and development teams to implement a full stack quality solutionMaintaining documentation meant for end user consumption as well as project contributor documentationSupport and mentor developers and manual testers through code reviews, knowledge-sharing, and technical leadershipInvestigating and resolving any framework, tool or execution of environmental issues affecting our servicesBecoming a core member of our Productivity Engineering team, helping others increase productivity through innovation, and championing the core value of Disney QualityIdentifies problems and opportunities and recommends the development of solutions.Decisions and actions regularly have a moderate influence on the work of team members, other teams or assigned projects.Required Education, Experience / Skills / Training : Required QualificationsJava and / or Python and proficient in object-oriented design where applicableAWS or other cloud experienceBuilds solutions that scale and perform. Identifies opportunities to improve the system / product / services with each iterationMinimum 5 years of progressive experience in a software development occupation, including automated testing backend servicesBachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related fieldDocker ExperienceExperience with test automation and unit testing frameworksExcellent problem-solving skills.Excellent collaboration skills and ability to use standard software development lifecycle (SDLC) tools such as Jira and Confluence, and version control systems.Experience leading one to two teams in technical solutioningStrong verbal and written communication skills. Highly motivated, self-starterPreferredExperience with KubernetesExperience with quality metricsExperience with Industry-standard test frameworks including TestNG, Robot FrameworkFamiliar with performance testing concepts is a plusVideo streaming experience is a plusThe hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA and NYC is $120,300 to $161,300 per year and in Los Angeles, CA is $114,900 to $154,100 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
