The pay rate for this role in California is $48.16 to $51.63 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered. Disney Television Animation is looking for a Storyboard Revisionist to join an Unannounced Disney Jr. Series!
Responsibilities
As a Storyboard Revisionist, you will make revisions to the storyboards after the Storyboard Artists have completed their pass. Such changes could include the following:
- Addressing acting, hookups, extra poses, etc.
- Fleshing out a scene or cleaning up rough panels
- Ensuring that characters and designs are on model and to proper proportions
- Utilizing director provided thumbnail sketches to reboard or restage, if necessary
- Conforming boards to animatic
- Adding screen direction, dialog, action notes, and other details for clarity
- Adhering to the production schedule provided by Line Producer to ensure shipping deadlines are met
- Additional duties as necessary, or as defined by individual contracts
- Knowledge of software and hardware including Cintiq, Toon Boon Storyboard Pro, Photoshop and other applicable storyboarding software
- Ability to align with the style and sensibility of the show
- Strong in comedy, action, emotional storytelling, and character interaction
- Strong staging, composition and cinematography skills
- Strong draftsmanship and ability to draw characters on model and in a three-dimensional setting
- Excellent time-management and communication skills
- Prior knowledge and experience working in television animation production pipelines
