Disney’s Direct to Consumer (DTC) team oversees the Hulu and Disney streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere.
The Disney Global Subscriber Engagement and Content Programming team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.
What You’ll Do
Disney’s Global Content Programming team is looking for a Sr. Manager, Content Programming (Live Sports & News) to lead efforts in supporting our business and editorial priorities, aiming to achieve engagement objectives across Disney and Hulu, with a particular emphasis on driving Sports and News KPIs for both platforms. In this role, you will oversee a team of Content Programmers responsible for creating and executing on-platform live news and sports campaigns and promotions.
The ideal candidate is an experienced cross-functional leader with a track record of managing fast-paced, high-performing teams. Familiarity with content management systems, project management tools, and live event programming is essential. Responsibilities
- Team Leadership : Oversee, develop, and manage the team responsible for Sports and News prioritization and curation across Hulu and Disney , ensuring alignment with viewer needs and business objectives.
- Editorial Management : Manage the editorial campaign calendar, curation strategy, upsell initiatives, and channel performance to identify optimization opportunities that drive growth and engagement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with ESPN, ABC News and insights, data, and analytics teams on event planning, calendar management, experiment design, data collection, and performance measurement.
- Campaign Development : Contribute to campaign ideation and oversee the planning, tracking, and communication of events across global programming teams and the organization.
- Prioritization and Strategy : Guide title prioritization and targeting strategies while effectively managing a high volume of concurrent priorities.
- Process Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of team processes, workflows, strategies, and outcomes.
- Event Coverage : Be available to cover evening and weekend programming events as needed.
- Global Collaboration : Collaborate with leaders from the Hulu and Disney Content Programming teams worldwide to shape the overall DTC programming strategy.

Additional Information
The hiring range for this position in California is $124,900 to $167,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and / or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.#J-18808-Ljbffr
