Sports Camp Coach Job Summary
Our Camp Coach position will play a key role in shaping and educating our campers by providing structure and supervision to campers. In addition, coaches will collaborate with other Leads, Supervisors, and Directors to create a welcoming, safe environment for our campers.Camp Lead Duties and Responsibilities
- Guide and teach a range of sports and activities
- Ensure camper safety and monitor their activities
- Set up takedown of camp equipment
- Creating and implementation of daily camp activities schedule
- Supervise campers during meals and breaks
- Instruct campers in daily routines and cleanup tasks
- Follow safety and emergency procedures and guidelines
Requirements and Qualifications
- High energy and positive attitude
- Strong work ethic (we work hard so others can play hard)
- High school degree or equivalent (preferred)
- Sports playing experience (preferred)
- 2 years experience working with youth in a sports setting.
- CPR Certification
- Must be able to provide one’s own transportation to camp location
- Ability to lift and move camp equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be proactive with time management
- Encouraging to campers and patient when instructing
- Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor for both campers and coaches
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable in a team-player role
- Creative and innovative thinker and planner
- Strict adherence to camp philosophy, standards, and goals
Hours/Compensation
- Camp Leads must be available for all camp dates including the duration of the Summer as well as school breaks and holidays during the following days and times: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
- $16.28-$18.00/hr
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.66 - $18.00 per hour
