Laundromat Attendant & Cafe Assistant

Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Laundromat Attendant & Café Assistant. This unique role combines two essential functions within our establishment, ensuring a pleasant and efficient experience for both laundromat users and café patrons. As a Laundromat Attendant, you will oversee the laundry facilities, assist customers with their laundry needs, and maintain a clean and organized laundromat space. As a Café Assistant, you will help with various tasks in the café, such as preparing beverages, serving snacks, and offering excellent customer service to café guests.

Responsibilities:

Laundromat Attendant:

1. Greet and welcome customers as they arrive at the laundromat, providing a friendly and approachable demeanor.
2. Assist customers with operating washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment to ensure proper usage and avoid any mishaps.
3. Monitor the laundromat area to maintain a safe and clean environment, promptly addressing any spills or hazards.
4. Address customer inquiries, provide information about available services, and offer assistance throughout their visit.
5. Handle cash and process transactions for laundry services, providing accurate change and receipts.
6. Regularly inspect and clean lint traps, machines, and the overall laundromat space to ensure optimal functionality and hygiene.
7. Keep track of inventory for laundry supplies, such as detergent, fabric softener, and laundry bags, and restock as needed.
8. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel for prompt resolution.
9. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while upholding the company's values and policies.

Café Assistant:

1. Assist in food and beverage preparation, such as making coffee, brewing tea, and serving snacks to café customers.
2. Maintain a clean and organized café area, including wiping tables, cleaning spills, and ensuring proper sanitation standards are met.
3. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently for café orders, including giving change and processing payments.
4. Provide friendly and attentive customer service, taking orders, and serving food and drinks promptly.
5. Assist in restocking café supplies, including beverages, snacks, cups, and utensils.
6. Collaborate with other café staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient service during peak hours.
7. Handle customer inquiries and requests with a positive attitude, striving to exceed their expectations.
8. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring food handling and preparation practices are in compliance with relevant standards.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in customer service or hospitality roles is preferred.
2. Ability to multitask and switch between laundromat and café duties seamlessly.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively.
4. Strong organizational skills to manage laundry services and café tasks efficiently.
5. Basic math skills for cash handling and processing transactions.
6. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift laundry bags, and handle café equipment.
7. Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays as per the business needs.
8. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to the dynamic nature of the combined role.
