Summary
We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead our team at The Waterfall Catering and Special Events. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of our catering operations, ensuring high standards of service and quality while driving business growth. This position is crucial in maintaining our reputation as the top choice for catering in Delaware.
Responsibilities
General Manager will be responsible for the overall operation and leadership of the venue.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Overall event execution, ensuring the events meet standards of operation.
2. Hiring/training/supervision/development/retention/scheduling of venue team members and management.
3. P&L responsibility for all controllable areas, to include but not limited to labor, food/beverage/liquor costs, repair and maintenance, supplies etc.
4. Oversee Operations team to create an outstanding work culture and execute world class events.
5. Overseeing sales staff to meet or exceed sales goals and objectives.
6. Maintaining the facilities including repair and cleanliness.
7. Managing vendor relations in how they interact with your facility.
8. Responsible for developing management and sales team skill sets.
9. Work in tandem with Executive Chef to maintain cleanliness of kitchen, quality food, timely delivery, and labor expectations
To be successful in this position, the General Manager must have exceptional communication and people skills. Must be highly attentive to detail and skilled at process management. This position also requires the ability to simultaneously be aware of and support operations in both the front and back of the house.
Desired Qualifications: 1.4 year degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality and Culinary Management. 2. ServSafe certification and ABC certification. 3. Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a supervisory/management role, hospitality/food service experience is preferred. 4. Reliable transportation and punctuality is required in this position.
