Job Summary:
Operate and care for golf course maintenance equipment; maintain golf course grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Safely operates equipment such as mowers, pluggers, weed whackers, trimmers and club vehicles used for various course maintenance needs.
2. Maintains maintenance and fluid use logs (gas and oil) on equipment.
3. Cleans and inspects machinery after each use; reports machinery/equipment problems to supervisor immediately.
4. Makes necessary minor adjustments to equipment as needed.
5. Loads and unloads materials.
6. Trims trees and removes cuttings.
7. Collects and empties trash receptacles; cleans gutters, drains and culverts.
8. Waters plants; cuts grass, weeds and bushes; rakes leaves.
9. Conducts all work in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards; guidelines, personal protection equipment etc.
10. Complies with all Club policies and procedures
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Performs special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of related maintenance experience in golf course environment preferred.
- Ability to operate machinery and equipment safely within regulations set by OSHA.
- Ability to read and converse in English for communication with managers and for safety reasons.
- Must have a valid driver’s license for golf cart and golf equipment and vehicle operation.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal state and local standards.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; bend, stoop, lift, move, push, pull and carry boxes, equipment, tools etc.
- Must be able to safely operate a golf cart and golf maintenance equipment; ride, walk and work outdoors as needed.
- Must be able to walk, stand and work in extremely hot, cold and rainy weather conditions for duration of shift (8 hrs).
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Country Club based position in office/restaurant/golf course environment.
- Club location may be changed at discretion of management.
- Varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays are required.
- Wage commensurate with experience.
