Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Traveling Dementia Director to oversee and enhance dementia care programs across multiple senior living communities. This role requires frequent travel to different locations, ensuring that memory care programs meet high standards, staff are well-trained, and residents receive quality care tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and oversee dementia care programs across multiple communities.
Train, mentor, and support staff in best practices for dementia care.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to memory care.
Conduct assessments and recommend personalized care plans for residents.
Collaborate with executive directors and healthcare teams to enhance dementia care strategies.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of memory care programs, making necessary improvements.
Provide family education and support to enhance understanding of dementia-related challenges.
Stay updated on the latest dementia care research and integrate evidence-based practices.
Assist with hiring and onboarding memory care staff.
Travel regularly to different senior living communities to provide hands-on leadership and support.
Marketing and bringing education to the community for our facilities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dementia care leadership.
Strong knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia-related disorders, and memory care best practices.
Experience in training and staff development.
Ability to travel extensively and adapt to different community settings.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Certification in dementia care (such as CDP – Certified Dementia Practitioner) preferred.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
