Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, friendly and responsible Dietician to join our team. This role is essential in coordinating all phases of nutrition care including nutrition assessment, care planning, monitoring, education and counseling of patients and outpatients.
Duties
- Demonstrate responsibility and accountability in planning and organizing the nutritional care of patients
- Assess patient nutritional needs, diet restrictions, etc. to develop and implement dietary care plans and provide nutritional counseling
- Develop measurable short and long-term nutritional goals and evaluate to desired outcomes
- Ensure the accurate calculation of nutritional needs based upon individual therapeutic need
- Skills
- Provides medical nutrition therapy including nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for the patient population
- Follows all guidelines as outlined within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual
- Complies with all regulatory standards to include federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies
- Trains and mentors patient services staff and interns as applicable
- Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
