Duties
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards during food handling and preparation.
- Buss tables and clean dining areas promptly after meals to maintain a tidy environment.
- Support the dietary department in inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery and address any resident concerns regarding food service.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas, following all safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with residents during meal times, ensuring their needs are met.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dietary department or food service setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timelines.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on resident satisfaction.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift light loads, and perform various kitchen tasks as needed.
