Job brief :
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer to join the Central Facilities Team. The Central Facilities team is responsible for delivering backend solutions supporting hundreds of clients, ingesting many terabytes of data, and distributing millions of data products per day. The team operates on a cloud-based platform that ingests, processes, aggregates, and distributes real-time weather and aviation data through backend microservices. The team works within an Agile environment, where reliability, performance, and attention to detail are valued and critical. In this role, you will be collaborating with engineering, DevOps, architecture, and project management to design and develop highly scalable and reliable software systems.
The impact you'll make :
- Design and develop cloud native software systems using advanced programming techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, and engineers, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor other team members, providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions addressing production issues in a timely manner.
- Investigate and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to enhance both product capabilities and team productivity.
- Manage your time and participate in an agile development process.
- Participating in on-call rotations (approximately one out of four weeks).
