Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- On-Site Inspections: Conduct field visits to assess property damage, gather necessary documentation, and meet with policyholders or third parties as needed.
- Daily Travel: Travel to various locations to inspect sites, meet with clients, and support the claims adjustment process.
- Training & Development: Work closely with the Claims Director to gain expertise in writing estimates, analyzing claim details, and applying industry best practices.
- Estimate Preparation: Learn how to effectively prepare accurate and detailed estimates for property damages using estimating software.
- Collaboration: Partner with the Claims Director and other team members to develop a comprehensive understanding of the claims process.
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel daily to various locations as required by the role.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic understanding of computer systems and the ability to learn industry-specific software (e.g., Xactimate).
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow within the insurance industry.
- Previous restoration, construction, or property claims experince required.
- Familiarity with insurance policies or claims processes preferred.
- Ability to obtain necessary licensing or certifications as required by the role required.
