Founded in 1884, Webster House is a children’s home located in Manchester, NH, whose mission is to provide children between the ages 8 and 18 who are unable to live at home with a safe, supportive environment for an undetermined amount of time. The intent is to address four areas of the youth's life – physical, social, personal, and family.
The goal is to prepare residents for adult life, in collaboration with the family, the child, and the program. Webster House provides a home and the opportunities for counseling and education. Webster House also provides the atmosphere in which adult-child relationships can be rebuilt and created. Within this structure, the direction, kindness, and commitment of caring adults can help improve the lives of the children who reside at the Webster House and their families.
Role & Responsibilities:
Webster House is seeking an experienced NH Licensed Clinician who is passionate about working with and advocating for youth to join our organization. You would be responsible for the following:
Managing a case load of up to 10 clients.
Providing weekly counseling for up to 10 clients for a minimum of one hour per week, and as needed for crisis intervention.
Performing monthly client record reviews and filing.
Coordinating and conducting treatment plan meetings, and all pertinent clinical documentation for your assigned clients, including but not limited to, psychosocial assessments, CANS assessments, treatment plans, safety plans, discharges, etc.
Coordinate and conduct bi-weekly group counseling and document group notes.
Partnering with placement workers and other involved parties, such as CASA/GAL, BCBH,
Waypoint, DJJS and CPSW for collaboration meetings and discussions.
Engaging in monthly case consultation with our assigned Case Managers to review individual cases and recommendations for treatment for all clients.
Engage in bi-weekly supervision with the Executive Director.
This is a full time (40 hours / week) salaried position with on call rotation approximately every 6-7 weeks
The licensed clinician will be expected to meet regularly with residents and maintain a strong healthy relationship with each youth. Keep families involved and informed of treatment needs and planning. Assist Case Managers with reports and reviews. Assess and oversee residents for emergency counseling needs. Oversee family involvement within resident’s treatment and conduct family meetings when applicable. Provide crisis intervention when needed during shift and be available for emergency crisis intervention by phone and in person.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in a Human Service Related Field, such as, Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling
- Licensed Clinician (LICSW or LCMHC) or license eligible
- Relative experience working with youth who have experienced significant trauma histories, as well as moderate emotional and behavioral needs.
- Experience in a clinical supervisory role
- Work with administrative team to ensure that the program is always in compliance with the state regulations, such as staff/child ratio, well trained staff, appropriate limit-setting, and enforcement of client’s rights
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
