Position Summary
As a Site Merchandising Analyst at The Webster, you will be responsible for developing and executing The Webster's digital merchandising strategy across our website. This will include managing product assortments, writing product copy that is search engine optimized, and analyzing customer behavior data to optimize the customer experience. You will work closely with the e-commerce, marketing, and creative teams to ensure that our products are presented in a manner optimized for our business. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital merchandising, e-commerce, and customer experience. He or she will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to think strategically about how to grow the business
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Strong understanding of product merchandising capabilities in Magento 2
- Experience using category interface, applying attribute-based rules and understanding of hero products and category trees.
- Develop and execute digital merchandising plans that align with business objectives, customer needs, and brand standards
- Analyze customer behavior data to identify trends and optimize the customer experience
- Manage item set-up, merchandising, product data, navigation, filters, on-site recommendations, category creation, product publishing, write product descriptions, image, and swatch uploads
- Develop, implement, and optimize all onsite search functionalities to improve findability and customer-facing experiences.
- Own the sorting logic and set up on site; adjusting, configuring and manually overriding on site while managing shopper's sorting controls
- Create and maintain product assortments that are reflective of customer demand and business goals
- Conduct regular competitive analysis to keep abreast of industry trends and best practices
- Stay up to date on new products and services, and ensure that product information is accurate and reflects current offerings
- Review site analytics regularly to identify areas of improvement and recommend changes
- Perform quality assurance testing prior to site updates and new launches
- Shop competitors' sites to identify trends and opportunities
- Analyze product performance & optimize grid performance, product trends, opportunities, and gaps
