What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Staff position at The Wedding Retreat at Windy Oaks Ranch, LLC?
We are looking for a part time person to fill in on days we need extra staff.
Hours very, but typically 12pm-10pm on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
We are looking for highly organized, energetic, positive candidates that are creative and willing to learn everything we offer in our all inclusive package from decorating, to photography, bartending dj, and kitchen staff. Event Staff are responsible for working under the instructions of an Event Manager or Owner, assuming the role of setting up an event, welcoming guests, catering to bridal parties, helping in kitchen with food prep, taking and editing photos, bartending, serving the guests, breakdown of an event, djing the wedding, inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking equipment against an inventory list, among other duties.
We are a full all-inclusive venue and you will be cross trained in bartending, kitchen, serving, dj, photography, set up and break down, and doing dishes and cleaning among other things
Moreover, Event Staff need to constantly be on their feet and attend to the many needs of event-goers, requiring physical stamina and high energy levels.
Event Staff Responsibilities:
- Unloading equipment from trucks and setting up venues for events, including chairs and building stages.
- Working as assistants on event day to provide a flawless event.
- Working under the instructions of an Event Manager.
- Ensuring the event hall is clean and organized.
- Adhering to event safety standards.
- Ensuring excellent levels of customer service.
- Assuming the role of welcoming guests.
- Setting up lighting and sound equipment.
- Working in a prep kitchen as assistant
- Serving food and drinks.
- Dispensing useful information to event-goers.
- Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list.
- Packing up equipment when the event is completed.
