What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Technician position at The Wellness Factory?
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for supporting all aspects of the quality system within the manufacturing facility. This includes supporting quality control, inspections of raw and in process material, finished product testing, documentation review, and maintaining batch records with compliance to good manufacturing practices (cGMP) as well as FDA regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Visually inspect quarantined materials and in-process products
- Review certificates of analysis (CoA) and analytical laboratory reports
- Review Batch Production Records for accuracy and completeness
- Release products throughout the stages of production based on quality requirements being met
- Write, review, and approve documents in the quality management system
- Generate supporting documentation for production
- Identify opportunities for improvement in quality systems and manufacturing processes
- Conduct continuous improvement processes including root cause analysis, improvement projects, development of new documents, training of staff, corrective actions and preventative actions (CAPAs)
- Track and trend quality metrics, such as deviations, CAPAs, and customer complaints
- Oversee the equipment calibration program
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Assist with Quality Control activities
Qualifications:
o Associates degree in a relevant field, such as life sciences, industrial engineering; or equivalent professional experience
o 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, food, or supplement industry preferred
o Strong understanding of GMP, preferably 21 CFR 111
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team
o Ability to think critically and solve problems
Skills:
o Knowledge of GMP regulations
o Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
o Ability to write clear and concise reports
o Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for the majority of the workday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
