We’re growing and looking for a Certified Professional Biller and Coder to be a vital part of our mission. In this exciting role, you’ll take charge of our billing processes, ensuring smooth and efficient invoicing, claims submission, and payment tracking.

What You’ll Do:
Drive the success of our insurance claims process with precision and efficiency.
Collaborate with our dynamic executive team to manage budgets and analytics.
Follow up on payments to ensure the financial health of our thriving practice.
Duties
- Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and patients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review patient records for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all necessary information is collected and communicate with patients.
- Utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Manage accounts receivable, including following up on outstanding claims and payments.
- Maintain organized medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in patient records or billing information.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations, coding practices, and insurance policies.
- Assist in the resolution of billing disputes or inquiries from patients or insurance companies.
- Claims Tracking: Create and maintain charts and graphs that track the number of claims processed successfully through insurance carriers, providing actionable insights into performance and trends.
- Collaboration with Executive Team: Work closely with the executive team to address operational issues, improve processes, and meet financial objectives.
Qualifications
- At least experience in medical billing and coding, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, DRG (Diagnosis Related Group), and coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10).
- Familiarity with medical records management and compliance standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills to ensure accuracy in billing processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
- Proficient in using medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Certification in Medical Billing or Coding is a plus required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.50 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
