Human Resource Generalist
Wellspring Foundation, Inc. is seeking a talented, pro-active, enthusiastic team player to join our Human Resource team! As a Human Resource Generalist at Wellspring, you will be primarily responsible for full cycle recruiting, collaborating with hiring managers and the HR team to fully understand and anticipate talent needs, implementing effective recruiting strategies and developing and nurturing relationships to find and recruit qualified candidates.
In this position, the recruiter will:
- Monitor ongoing open positions and needs.
- Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the needs of the organization.
- Build effective relationships with organizations (i.e., schools, community colleges, etc.) that can refer potential quality candidates.
- Develop advertisements and internal posting materials to attract qualified candidates.
- Creatively and pro-actively source and screen applications and resumes; select qualified candidates.
- Schedule interviews and take the lead with the interview process; attend and conduct interviews with hiring managers.
- Manage pre-employment screening process, including reference and background checks.
- Assist with the coordination, implementation, and administration of job offers and first-day onboarding, including new employee orientation training.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policy.
- Attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Complete orientation program with each new/temporary employee on the first day of employment. Explain Company policies and procedures, benefits, and individual and product safety. Ensures that all new hire paperwork and benefits enrollment paperwork is completed in a timely manner
- Perform various administrative duties such as maintaining employee records, processing paperwork, and assisting with HR reporting
- Maintain confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Human Resource role
- Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred
- Knowledge of recruiting and employment regulations, policies, and practice
- Strong technology skills, including MS Office, job boards, LinkedIn, and social medial.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a team player, adaptable, flexible, and detail oriented, with superior time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Outstanding follow-up skills
- Able to work independently while remaining accountable.
