Responsible globally for day-to-day management, administration, compliance, and coordination of franchise related matters, including all franchise development agreements, franchise asset/capital plans, new restaurant development – net new, franchise contract compliance, franchise and Company closure requests and franchise financial assistance requests.
Responsibilities
- Partners with Manager and Real Estate team to manage and evaluate restaurant closure requests from franchisees and Company. Ensures we have the required financial performance data and field team support to establish business case for closure. Vets requests with Development Finance, Field Operations, Real Estate and Restaurant Closure Committee for approval/rejection. With approval, explain closure conditions with franchisee and when applicable, invoices continuous operations fee. Works with Legal to define store closing requirements for store closing letter agreement and that closure agreements are executed. Help to drive efficiencies while maintaining consistent processes in the U.S. and International.
- Responsible for globally compiling and tracking all development agreements and amendments. Manages and ensures compliance with franchise development agreements and legal agreement provisions, and other key development initiatives or projects (e.g., incentive programs). Manages reporting and franchise non-compliance issues. Partner with Development leadership and finance to inform net new build project forecast.
- Work with Real Estate and Operations to develop, document and track franchise asset plans related to reimages, renewals, relocations, closures, and new builds. Ensure plans enable franchisee to address all franchise agreement expirations, and meet or exceed Wendy's reimage requirements. Partner with Field Ops and Real Estate team to evaluate and manage requested closures, franchise financial assistance requests (royalty, WNAP and/or rent relief) or franchise workouts for those franchisees who are experiencing financial and/or operational issues. Review legal documentation to ensure asset plans and business terms are documentated accurately. This responsibility will require the position to effectively communicate with franchisees, franchise lenders and/or Wendy's Legal department
- Partner with Development leadership and finance to inform global closure forecast and net new. Forecast relies on partnership with Field Ops and Real Estate to be aware of future potential closures. Keep open lines of communication with franchisees and Company leadership to determine likelihood and timing of closures
- Audit all new build openings to ensure the restaurant is paying the correct Royalties, Advertising and TAF. Ensuring restaurants that are eligible for incentives receive the correct incentive and legal documentation captures the correct incentive.
- Oversee and direct technology system requirements for Closures and Development Agreement entities.

USD $153,000.00/Yr.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors Degree
Additional education information (major, etc.): BS Business degree or equivalent background- 3-5 years professional work experience preferably in a corporate environment with an emphasis in franchise real estate development, administration or banking/finance.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication; ability to multi-task and prioritize; analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills; administrative and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills including competency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Ability to balance work load while continually reprioritizing.

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is 10% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
