Additional information can be found at our web site : https : / / www.thewengergroup.comWhat will you do : Ensure adherence to Wenger policies, methods, and disciplines. Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is compliance with all OSHA regulations as well as applicable company Health and Safety Compliance protocols. Log in, label and store samples received by the Nutrition & Quality Control Lab. Performs analysis of samples following prescribed procedures, including wet chemistry, NIR and gravimetric analysis.Calibrate and utilize instrumentation for sample analysis.Completes all paperwork associated with the analyses in a neat and timely fashion. Prepare SOP's, work procedures and test methods as needed. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications needed : Fundamental understanding of Lab Safety. Ability to safely use hazardous chemicals. Able to understand or follow written testing procedures. Very strong attention to detail.Able to work well both independently and in a small group setting.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 60 lbs. repeatedly and up to 100 lbs. on occasion Ability to climb ladders and work in high places Ability to work in confined spaces Ability to work in dusty conditions Ability to stand for prolonged periods of timeRequirements : High school diploma or equivalent. Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Chemistry, Animal Science, Agriculture or a related field. Classroom experience working with analytical, wet chemistry and NIR testing. Strong Organizational skills coupled with a strong attention to detail.
