With over 850 team members,we'rea growing company in an essential sector - agriculture!Learn more here : https : / / www.thewengergroup.comWhat your day looks like : The Senior Financial Analyst position will have an active role in monthly reporting and analysis, annual audit processes, ad hoc reporting and the budgeting process while providing support to the financial reporting & analysis team. This role leads the reporting and evaluation of financial results over Risser Grain and / or Nutrify, a subsidiary of The Wenger Group, as well as assisting in other financial analysis related to the Wenger Global Procurement Business Unit.Lead the period end financial close process, financial reporting and analysis and annual budget preparation for Risser Grain / Nutrify. Prepare period end financial reports as well as prepare and post journal entries as part of the financial close process. Review and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts each period. Analyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), especially relating to financial metrics such as sales, expenditures, and profit margin. Perform variance analysis comparing current results to budget and prior year results as a part of monthly reporting. Prepare forecasts to help predict the company's future financial performance.Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives.Provide support during the annual budget process, including collecting, reviewing and reporting budget information. Be a business partner to assign Business Unit : understand business operations and metrics, visit locations. Assist in ad hoc projects as directed by supervisor. Ensure procedures are documented and updated regularly. Assist in collection and preparation of documentation requested for the annual outside audit and tax preparation. Provide backup and assistance for other positions and perform additional responsibilities within the department as requested. Other duties as assigned.Who are you : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Strong computer skills, including Excel and JD Edwards, Agris or other ERP system. Four plus years of relevant experienceQualifications Needed : Agriculture, manufacturing, or food industry experience preferred. Demonstrated positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team and with all levels of the organization. Growth mindset and ability to adapt to change. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
